How Hennikon approaches respite

Respite care offers a range of flexible short breaks and respite options to enable carers to take a much needed rest. Support can also be speedily arranged in the event of an emergency situation.

Carers are usually selfless people who often neglect their own needs and wishes. A few days break gives carers the opportunity to have a holiday, visit friends, or just put their feet up knowing that their loved one is being very well cared for.

A break allows the carer to restore their energy and enhances the lives of both the loved one and the carer and should be regarded as an essential part of the care cycle.

To find out how you can arrange a break, go to the Referrals page and start planning a well-earned rest.

Transitional support

Advice and support are also available when managing the transition process between two residencies.
